OpenBSD 4.8 - FLASHRD - success story

Post by yzh »

I got a fit-pc2i diskless and used flashrd [1] to install OpenBSD 4.8 [2] on an USB stick.
Booted this from my fit-pc2i and now using it as a router/firewall :)

I thought it was possible to use the internal WiFi as a hotspot but the drivers do not support this.
WiFi as client does work, just not very useful for me.

PS: Current downside of running 4.8 is that it's not released yet so you cannot download precompiled binary packages yet. OpenBSD 4.8 will be released on 1 Nov 2010.
