Realtek GBE driver does not start

Hi,

I've installed Windows 7 on my Fit-PC2. Everything is working smoothly, with good graphics performance, so all in all to be recommended.

I do have one nasty problem: the wired Ethernet card does not work. The driver is at level 7.6.820.2009. It reports the following problem:

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Does anybody have a clue as to what could be causing this?

I've tried the following to no avail:

- Update the BIOS (version DEVEL34X, 31 Aug 2009).
- Run with/without cable.
- Have Windows try to upgrade the driver.

Get Ethernet driver from http://fit-pc2.com/download/win7-drivers/

Sorry, I should have said that that is where I got the driver from.

You may want to rule-out hardware problem by trying with another OS.
