What Hard Drive driver should I use to load Windows 7

Post by nichom »

I'm attempting to install Windows 7. I get to the point where Windows is prompting for a hard drive driver. I've tried all drivers from the download area for Windows 7, but none seem to work. Ideas?

What hard disk are you using?
16GB free disk space is a minimum requirement for Windows 7.

You didn't specify if you are using fit-PC2 or fit-PC2i. If fit-PC2i make sure to disable the 4GB NANDrive in BIOS/Main.

Try partitioning the HDD first... one of the drives I tried which wasnt recognised by setup was much happier after I put it in another machine and put a partition on it...

The one drive I havent been able to be recognised with this trick was a Samsung SSD pulled from a Lenovo laptop...
