DisplayLink USB dongle prevents Win 7 from shutdown properly

Post by wrc4 »

When I use my DisplayLink chip based USB dongle as the only monitor Windows 7 couldn't shutdown properly. The screen will just freeze and I'll have to press & hold the power button to shut it off or unplug the power.

I have the latest BIOS, Win 7 pro with the latest video drivers and the latest DisplayLink driver: 5.3.25010.

I did a search for shutdown issue of DisplayLink devices but couldn't find any result. Maybe this is specific to Fit-PC2?
