Can't install Windows 7 to Internal 16GB SanDisk

Post by Ryuuki »

Hi all,
Very much a newbie here and to these machines.
I have a PC2 and Im trying to install Windows 7 32Bit Pro onto it.

Booting from external DVD no worries.
Starts Setup
Create Partition (14GB odd)
Says Copying files and errors with Code 0x800701E7 Cannot install required files.

Any help would be appreciated. Is the SanDisk not enough space maybe?

Hi

1) Please try to use an USB drive for the Windows 7 installation. Please refer to http://www.fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php/Ho ... _USB_stick for the instructions how to prepare USB drive with the Windows 7 installation files.
2) Check the SSD drive for errors.

Yeah I have done that. I now have the the install files on USB rather than DVD.
To test I installed to a normal computer with a HDD and it installed fine from this USB.

But Im still getting same error when trying to install Windows onto the SanDisk :(

Also I notice in BIOS that the lastest operating system listed is XP. Would it be better if I had a PC2i?

** EDIT: I played in the BIOS with the Primary drives settings and now the setup gets to 6% expanding before it errors with 0x80070570
