Hi,
I do not succeed to install Windows 7 (RTM) on my Fit-PC2 from an USB Key.
I get:
"Windows is loading files ..." progress bar until the end.
Then "Starting windows" message stay foreever.
The system seems to freeze at that moment.
After a few minutes, the same message is still appearing and the FIT-PC2 is quite hot.
Am I missing any specific step?
Regards,
Gilles
Win7 install: blocking on 'Starting windows' - Fixed
Re: Win7 install: blocking on 'Starting windows' - Fixed
I fixed this issue by the following BIOS updates:
- Inside HDD, set to '32 bit I/O' disabled
- Set all Audio, Lan, SDIO... to Disabled
- Set Hyperthreading to Disabled
Not sure of which one solved the problem.
But I'm sure this will help others.
Fave fun

From the other thread in the Windows 7 forum page it seems that it was the Audio which needed to be disabled (though no idea why!).
