Changing DDR2 ram

I keep puzzling over how you solder ram to the computer board in the fit-pc2, and what you do if the piece of ram fails tests afterwards; and I keep coming up with the answer that 200 pins are a lot of pins, and I have never seen a piece of ram sold as a computer part with 90-degree angle pins. I will probably have to buy a fit-pc2 and deliberately void its guarantee by taking the case apart to verify that there is no conventional piece of DDR2 ram plugged into a 90-degree, close-fitting socket.
