WD 250gb USB HD - No recognized, not enough power ?

Post by silcharde »

My 250gb USB western digital hard drive is no recognized by my fit-pc2, it "powers" it because the little USB symbol on the HD is lit but windows will never recognize it, is there something I have to do ?

I can tell just be feeling the drive is not spining ...

This same hd has worked on many computers flawlessly. Thank you.,

Each USB port supplies up to 0.5A with overcurrent protection.
It is recommended to connect an external HDD to two USB ports for supplying sufficient power.
Some PCs can supply more current through each USB port.
