Re: which other operating systems supported
CompuLab takes care of Windows XP and Ubuntu.
With fit-PC1 users successfully installed many other - Linux distributions, BSD distributions, Windows 2000. See www.fit-pc.com/forum for discussions about other operating systems.
It is likely that over time some distributions will be adapted to fit-PC2.

Re: which other operating systems supported
VESA drivers for the time being. There are several months until Win7 release. Optimized drivers should be available by then.

Re: which other operating systems supported
Isn't 1 GB RAM a little close to the minimum memory required for Windows 7???
thanks
thanks
Re: which other operating systems supported
The beta version of Windows 7 worked just fine.
Microsoft are targeting netbooks. 1GB is quite common there.
I guess we will have to wait and see...
Little known trivia fact - XP minimum requirement is 64MB RAM (we had it running OK on 256MB RAM with fit-PC 1.0).

WinXP will boot on 48MB, but not much will run.
Firefox won't work. IE6 works fine though.
