LAN port not working

I have a Fit2PC, and have tried fresh installations of 3 different OS's. Ubuntu 9.10, 10.04 and Mint 9. None of them allowed any networking device to work. I really only need the LAN to work, so let's just focus on that for now. It appears to be a driver problem. The kernel loads the RT8169 driver and from other threads I've read, I should be using the RT8168 driver from RealTek. I've downloaded and installed that to no avail. Please run Linux Mint 9 Live version and check if you have a LAN connectivity. It should be available out of the box. If you don't, please consider to RMA the FitPC2
