PCIEx1 for SSD

Post by ajalger »

I see in the SBC link that was in another post:
http://compulab.co.il/fitpc2/html/fitpc ... asheet.htm

the following is listed:
mini PCI Express includes PCIEx1, USB (EHCI), SMB, power supplies. Available only if "W" option isn't used

Can the wireless card be removed and a miniPCIe SSD put in its place?

Thanks

This voids warranty but technically possible.
Adding miniSD, SSD or USB flash is preferred.

I am also very interested in this possibility!

If anyone tries, please let us know how it works!

irads: do you see any technical issues booting from an SSD connected to the Mini PCIE slot?

Yes. BIOS is not known to support that.
