Hi, we have a number of existing fitpc2i and have drive images for them. We just bought 4 new fitpc2i diskless and when restoring the images none will boot, giving an "error loading operating system" error on boot. They are running windows xp.
I even removed one of the drives from the original fitpc2i and put it in the new diskless one and it gives the same error.
I've tried Acronis to image, restore/backup and even clone and get the same result.
thanks
clone fitpc2i to fitpc2i diskless fails

Re: clone fitpc2i to fitpc2i diskless fails
Sorry for the delay.
There has been no revision change in fit-PC2i.
Since it happens on several units I think HW problem is highly unlikely.
Check boot order in BIOS settings. Maybe fit-PC2i tries booting from another connected storage device.

same result. it sees the disk, it just won't load the OS. its perplexing to say the least.

I don't know why a detected hard disk with properly installed OS would not boot.
What happens if you try a fresh install onto the hard disk from USB on a new fit-pc2i?
