fit pc 2I GPIO

I’m trying to interface with an external circuit though the GPIO. On the board behind the power button there are 5 through holes labeled GPIO8. Is this something I can use? Also I was looking at the Reference Guide and there appears to be an Extension connector on the other side of the mini SD slot would this be better? Is there an DLL? Any advice would be appreciated.

Those interfaces you mention, was designed for internal debugging purposes, and are not available for an end user.
