SSD on FitPC2

I am attempting - and failing- to install Windows 7 on a Kingston A400 SSD in a FitPC2.
The installer is getting as far as the - "where do you wish to install this" but no drive is showing up and Win7 is asking for a driver.
To test out everything else I have just successfully installed Win7 on an HDD in the same FitPC.
My conclusion is that the Phoenix BIOS version date 04/25/10 may not be able to support the A400 - but here my limited knowledge fades to zero - it could just be a setting in the BIOS and help would be appreciated.
