About miniPCI Express

Post by hayashi@g-in »

We have a technical question about miniPCI Express of the FitPC2.

We have connected a miniPCI Express connector with an extender which converts from miniPCI Express to PCI Express x 1, and tried to run an input board for PCI Express x 1.
Unfortunately we have not seen it working up to 40 M bytes/sec although the spec allows for 200M bytes/sec.

We guessed that this may have resulted from potentially either bottlenecks at an extender for conversions or smaller bandwidth at miniPCI Express itself.

Therefore we tried to test the same thing on a different computer which is built with miniPCI express, but saw it working around 200M bytes/sec very well on it.

Is the miniPCI Express of the FitPC2 limited up to bandwidth like 40 M bytes/sec ?
Or would you allow us to use the typical bandwidth for miniPCI Express by adjusting a certain setup somewhere ?

We would appreciate it if you can give us any advice to settle this.
