minipci 3G

Post by ppafin »

I just acquired 3G modem for PCI express: Expedite® EU850D (7.2 Mbps HSDPA PCI Express Mini Card / Embedded Module with Integrated SIM Slot).

How ever, my fitpc2 won't recognize device in MINI PCI-EXPRESS interface. Any clues, why it seems impossible?

See that PCIe is enabled in BIOS.
Do cross checking - the card in another PC and another card in the fit-PC2

BTW, warranty does not cover opening the fit-PC2 and installing cards.

I tried to spot BIOS for such settings, but was unable to find it out. Could you check for me where this setting is located ?

So there is lack of information, why we cannot get 3G minipci working on fitpc2 ? I certainly would like to get this issue resolved, since it would boost our product planning quite a bit.

The setting you may try to toggle in BIOS is Intel/Chipset/Gigabit LAN to determine if there is a conflict between the PCIe devices.

The most effective test would be the cross-checking I suggested above.
