ad-hoc wireless mode configuration on fit-pc2

Post by beyossi »

hi all,

I am looking for configuring a local wireless network (no need to connect to the web) while the fit-pc2 is the access point device.
I though doing so by using ad-hoc mode configuration on my fit-pc2 (WLAN device is RT3090).

I face troubles doing so (using ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10).

Can someone tell me whether it is supported on linux with this specific device?
Is there a tutorial how to do so (usually I do that easily on my desktop...)

Thanks

Hi guys,

Ad-hoc setup with FitPC2 (Ubuntu 9.10) is supported. You need first install rt3090, which i think you already did. Another thing important is to blacklist rt2860 in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Hope it helps~
