Can I retro-fit a WLAN module to get wifi?

Post by siliconlunch »

I was unable to buy a Fit-PC2 in my country with the WiFi option, the only model available was the C1600 Diskless.

Now I'd like to have WiFi... is it possible to buy an optional module for my unit to enable WiFi?

TIA...

You can but you will lose your warranty. Please check with your distributor maybe he can replace the unit for you.

It is not order-able here on purpose (otherwise it will encourage people to tamper with their Fit-PC2). You can order any mini-PCIe WiFi module from eBay. It would work in Fit-PC2 assuming you have the drivers.
