Does fitPC2 (1.21) support a SATA controler card on MiniPCIe

Hallo!
I wanted to know, if a MiniPCIe card with a ASM1061 chip is going to work in my fit-PC2. I'm not talking about mechanical stuff (perhaps the SATA connectors are too high).
If this will be working, the FitPC2 can provide 2 x SATA ports. Is the normal PCIe interace used then, so we can expect a nice SATA throughput?
I know that I will lose my warranty...
