fIT pc2I bIOS DEVEL34X.ROM removes COM port

Attemtping to resolve a Java issue with the Fit PC2i I installed the DEVEL34X.ROM Bios Update 2010-04-22. After installation the Serial Port on COM1 is gone. Any ideas? I reinstalled DEVEL32X.ROM and the Serial port is back. Did some one forget the COM Interupt on DEVEL34X.ROM?
