Windows 7 RC

fit-PC2 Windows users are encouraged to install Windows 7 RC on fit-PC2.
It provides very good user experience, including Aero interface and excellent multimedia playback.

Hi Irads,

The last time someone asked about Windows7, you posted a screencap showing that it ran fine, but also mentioned that it was using VESA drivers instead of the intel drivers... has this been fixed?

This was fixed. Windows 7 RC runs with Intel drivers having good 2d, transparency (used in Aero) and video acceleration. I haven't checked 3d.

I did not have to change anything - installed out of the box.
Reformatted partition during installation and made a clean install.
Display drivers were downloaded automatically.
