mplayer-vaapi will not install with mplayer-nogui installed.

I get the following error...
I am trying to setup mplayer to play in a browser as it could prove a great advantage to our investors.
I get the following:

Code: Select all

xemec@little-xemec:~$ sudo apt-get install mplayer-vaapi

xemec@little-xemec:~$
If I try the other way, installing mplayer-vaapi first it doesn't work and leave the system in a half installed state.
Any ideas on this?

It's to bad this doesn't work as it cripples any non-flash video in the browser as well. Are you sure it's not just a packaging error?
