Failure of live and install from USB Key on Fit-PC2

Have a Fit-PC2 D1G-C1600 W-H8 with 8GB SSD drive. Have tried a range of usb boot tools with Mint 9/Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop. I tried live and install modes. In all cases, the process begins then I lose video (black screen). Using supplied HDMI to DVI cable. Also tried a different HDMI to DVI cable with same results. Tried different USB ports on the PC2 and also different USB drives.

I can't seem to get either live nor install of Linux Mint or Ubuntu to work.

Any suggestions? After 2 days of trying permutations, I'm ready to return the Fit-PC2.

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

Please add

Code: Select all

vga=0x31A
to the boot command option. I suggest you to try the YUMI tool to prepare the installation USB stick

Changed boot option to vga=0x31A

The end result is the same, black screen (no video).

I seem to get a few additional flashes and strange colors but nothing further. I am using the hdmi/DVI cable provided.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
