Post Memory modules
Unfortunately, the RAM in fit-PC2 is soldered on-board and cannot be upgraded.

What if the RAM of the next fit-PC comes in an easily upgraded form of modules (DRAM modules) like in in many modern personal computers ?!

Thus it can quickly be replaced should it become damaged or too small for current purposes.

SODIMM consumes much more power and takes up more space. That would cancel out fit-PC edge.

What about a soldered 2GB module instead of the 1 GB ?

Yup, should offer a 2GB model as well. No need to have more at this point.
