Ubuntu 10.04 LTS boot failed without HDMI cable connected?

Hi.
I've installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on FitPC2i Rev 1.2.
The problem is that my fitPC does not boot well withour HDMI connector.
So, if I don't connect monitor, fit-pc won't boot.
I've test more than ten times. So I think this is true.
I've install Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop.
Do you know how to boot without display? but I'd like to use GUI when I connect monitor on fitPC for debug.
