pre-loaded Mint Linux image - Same for Fit PC2 and 2i

Is the image the Compulab provide PRE-LOADED the same on both Fit PC2 and 2i, or are there differences between the images used with the two models (e.g. different drivers, etc)?

don't know if there are any differences.
But where can i find this image? I installed Linux Mint 9 from original Mint DVD and have some problems with stability.

Linux Mint image we provide preloaded is absolutely the same for fitPC2 and 2i. It is not available for users to download because it not such simple to install it without advanced linux skills.

What kind of stability problems do you have?

Well, i do have advanced linux skills. That's my business
So i am very interested in this special image.

My problem is, that my system always freezes when i use krdc to connect to my Windows Server via RDP.

Try disabling C-States in BIOS - Intel / CPU Control Sub-Menu to "GV3 only"
It is known to affect the network behavior.

Our image is a standard Mint installation, without any magic, just like described in our wiki/forum.

So why does my fitPC always crash on krdc?
I disabled C-States in BIOS and set CPU Control Sub-Menu to "GV3 only".
No success.

KRDC is the only network application that crashes on fitPC? May be KRDC unconfigured or has some bug? Do you have error logs?

I advice you to install Gnome system instead KDE and use compatible Gnome remote desktop application.
