USB Modem on Linux Mint Fit-PC2

Post by Horaira »

Hi,

We are trying to connect USB modem through USB, we are using wvdial to get it connected and its working fine.
problem is when we are rebooting the system sometime it is not able to detect the Modem(once out of four try not able to detect).
What can be the problem can you give any pointer in this regard. We are using Mint Linux and Data card(Modem) is EC series from Huawei.

Thanks for replying, Actually we tried it on different port but it is giving same result, yet to try with external powered USB Hub.
Is this some power problem ?

Some times, some USB devices, use more power then expected. As you described the problem, it seems like sometimes your USB modem don't power up from USB
