Indeed, USB 3.1 would be nice. It is still not integrated into chipsets though and requires dedicated controller.

Post fitlet-T - No DisplayPort
It is disappointing that the fitlet-T has two HDMI ports yet no DisplayPort. I wonder why is that the case? Especially since DisplayPort can easily be converted to HDMI, but not vice versa?

The reason is that fitlet-T is based on the legacy fit-PC4 design.
Future designs would incoroporate more DP at the expense of HDMI.
