Win 7 - 32 bit 0r 64 bit ?

Post by hassellbear »

I just received my Fit PC3 Pro 4GB. I will be using this unit exclusively to control and decode a couple of software defined HF radios. Previously, I have used another computer running Win XP Home 32 bit with good success.

For my Fit PC3, I have available Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit and Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. The control and decoding software I am running predates the release of Win 7 and could be considered "legacy" in nature. What is the general concensus about running older software in Win 7 32 bit and in Win 7 64 bit ?

I suggest you to try firstly the 64bit version. If you encounter an unexpected problems (less likely) - then switch to 32bit version
