The fPC3 SN:00214-120131-00354
SN:00214-120131-00355

These were the first two that I tested with. It almost acts like the TS16GMSA300 is is grounding something out. When I fully seat the card into the Mini PCIE slot the fPC3 doesn't turn on. There is a brief flash fom the light in front and then nothing. If I loosen the card out of the plastic snaps, the machine will boot, however the card is not recognized. I ended up putting Windows Home Server 2011 on the first machine using the Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid 500gb. Performance is rating around 7.5 for this hard drive. The second machine is running Windows Embedded Standard 7 P on the Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid 750gb, not sure if it is the OS or just the 8gb of cache but this rates at 7.8 on the performance for the hard drive. Both machine are 3.9 on the processor and this is the lowest score. When I place the TS16GMSA300 in the mSATA to SATA adapter the machine recognizes the drive and it is receving a 5.8 performance rating. There is a noticeable performance difference between the TS16GMSA300 and the Momentus XT Hybrid.

I then received the following:
The fPC3 SN:00214-120306-00138
00214-120306-00143
00214-120306-00144
I tried the TS16GMSA300 SN:487986-0118 in the first unit of the second batch, same results. I did also test the Corsair Force3 120gb SSD CSSDF120GB3-BK Windows Embedded Standard 7 P rated this drive at 7.7 for performance. All of the machines are now running 8gb DDR3 and we are happy with the performance running Momentus XT. Would still like to dial in with a Mini PCIE SSD for the WES7P product and have the ability to add the 1.0 - 1.5 TB 2.5" drive for media storage. Currently we are using USB 3.0 Drives. Would prefer to have it all in the case.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I would be willing to ship a machine and the drive for you to configure if that will help us.

Thanks Again

There is no specific setting. If your card is not recognized please consider to RMA the FitPC3

We have same problem with different ssd 32 and 64 Gb m-sata disks we used in T40N Fitpc3 type with serial 00205-120321-00086.
Can someone from Compulab confirm that this batch does NOT support m-sata yet?
Bios is from febr.2012 and also shows message that it is developer version and not for resale.
Therefore please post new Bios to update unit to avoid this kind of messages.
Thanks for support in advance!

Just updating,
I received two new units this week that came with the 8gb SSD. I tried the mini PCIE SSD, not recognized however the bios comes up to a boot screen. Is there an updated list of Mini PCIE SSD drives that have been used to boot ans run an OS?

Take Care,
Jimmy

I am sorry, but mSATA support requires a hardware revision, so older boards will still lack the mSATA support
