Please could you provide a reference to a suitable cable that is available in the UK? The link you have provided is shipped from China after 25 days (maybe).
Just an FYI. My cable arrived within just a few days.

On a related note, I'm curious why it was decided to use a Display Port interface. I found it very hard to find any LCDs with display port interfaces. All the LCDs I've looked at have either or both HDMI and DVI interfaces.

  • DisplayPort 1.1a HD 1080p compatible.
  • Supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 and 1080p.
  • Supports 8 channel, uncompressed 24bit audio.
  • Bandwidth: 2.7Gbps per lane (total10.8Gbps).
  • 10 year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Display output selection always demands a trade-off between current display availability and support for advanced features. There are several design considerations for display interface selection in Intense PC and fit-PC3:
(a) Currently, display port is the most straight-forward way to support high resolutions.
(b) Display port can be easily converted into legacy display interfaces with commercially available adapters such as http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... CGEQ8wIwAA and http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... CG4Q8wIwAA.
(c) Going forward, it is likely that in a year or so most new displays will feature Display Port input.
(d) Original DVI connector is two large for a product like Intense PC.

Igor.
