Hello,

as VOIP is not very demanding on performance, fit-PC3 Basic should suit this application quite nicely.
You can choose either Linux or Windows - there are many VOIP software solutions for both. O/S selection should be done based on your background and experience.
"fit-PC3 Basic 4GB Win7 Home Premium" model should be suitable for Windows. "fit-PC3 Basic 4GB Linux" model is recommended for Linux.
In case, the system setup requires to separate the VOIP connection from a general purpose network connection, you can also consider the "fit-PC3 LP 4GB Linux FM-E4U" which adds a second network port to the system.

Best Regards,
Igor.

The fit-PC3 cannot accommodate PCIe cards. Only mini PCIe cards can be used.
