Problems with Realtek Wireless on Windows 7

Post by gpee »

I have installed Windows 7 pro.

The Wireless Realtek device keeps dissappearing after Hibernate and Shutdown. I have reinstalled several times. As soon as I reinstall everything is fine and the Devices reappear in Device Manager.

After running the install (This is latest drivers downloaded from this website) Two devices appear.

Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter
Realtek RTL8188 CE Wireless LAN 802.11n COMBO PCI-E NIC

I have noticed that the MS device is now showing as failed (with exclamation mark) - Windows has stopped the device because it has reported problems (Code 43)

The NIC is still 'working' at the moment but the performance is poor. (This could be purely due to poor broardband)

Any ideas??

I am having problems with the Realtek wireless drivers as well. Whether I use the drivers downloaded from Fit-PC for Windows 7 or the drivers from the Windows Update for the Realtek RTL 8188 CE on my Fit-PC3, it freezes the system mid driver install. I have installed Windows 7 Professional, 64bit, and it's pretty useless with the dual wireless antennas and no wireless capabilities.

When I clicked on the link, it wanted a userid and password, and wouldn't accept mine.
