setting up network and access via WLAN

Post by ThomasSchaare »

Hello,

We just purchased several Intense PCs with the FM-4E4U module. As operating system we will use a Linux distribution. The following system setup is planned:
1. Setup of a network of 2 Intence PCs and 2 more devices. Q: Does the Intense PCs support switch functionality?
2. We want to access the network via WLAN. Q:Is it possible to configure one Intense PC as an access point, so we can address all devices within the network from an extern PC with WLAN capability?

Thanks in advance
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
1. Yes, please google "IP forwarding in Linux"
2. Yes, you can setup Ad-Hoc netwotk in gui, in Wi-Fi properties find "Create new Wi-Fi network"
Compulab's Linux support
