intense pc not showing blank screen on boot

Post by philsan »

I have a new intense pc that fails to show the bios splash screen when booting, the screen remains black until windows starts. F2 opens bios normally, but I can't see anywhere to enable/disable this feature
Any idea's ?
BIOS is CR_2.2.0.262 X64
unit is I7 running win 7 64 bit
video is using HDMI to DVI-D

thanks

The reason is related to your monitor. The amount of time that the BIOS screen displayed is less then it takes to your monitor to initialize the BIOS screen video mode, therefore you are unable to see the BIOS screen.

Thanks Gabriel
I will try another monitor - it's interesting because it did show the spash screen for the first couple of boots, I normally wouldn't worry, but the computer is going to a customer and if he gets the black screen he will probably keep pressing the power button.
