Wake On Lan does not work

Post by armadillo »

Hi,

today I wanted to test wake on lan feature, but it does not work.

The BIOS WOL is enabled. Do I need any other BIOS setup?

Stefan

Hi,

the problem was I used the wrong network socket for connecting the network cable. You need to use the outer socket!

You should also check if the device is allowed to wake up pc. You can find this option in the power management tab.

I am trying to get Wake on LAN working on a Fit-PC 3 and have had no luck. I believe I'm sending the correct magic packet to port 9 and I've tried connecting up the network cable to each of the sockets on the device (as suggested by you, Armadillo), I've also made sure that the network connection is allowed in Windows to wake the device and set the "boot on LAN" setting in the BIOS. Still no luck though. Can anyone please help!?
