msata - ssd

Post by hma »

Hello,

can you recommend (or disadvice) any specific msata-ssd brands for the i7 model? Have you tested some?
Would e.g. a Crucial M4 be worth trying, since the sata M4 models work quite well?

Thanks,
Hendrik

I am sorry Hendrick, but for now, we don't have any blacklisted msata-ssd models, neither we can't recommend some specific model. We will appreciate any users' feedback related to their msata drives.

Thanks, I'll report back as soon as I have something running..

BTW, is it correct that the feature
-Added PCIE Gen(1,2,Auto) selection for FULL mini PCIE slot
in the latest BIOS allows only mSATA I or mSATA II support, but no mSATA III (6Gbit/s)? This would cut down the choice of SSDs a bit. Or does this only affect the pcie adapter if NOT set to mSATA?

Generally, is there a BIOS manual/description for download anywhere?

Thanks,
Hendrik

Hello Hendrick

IntensePC has SATA II support for the mSATA drives. Most of the SATA III drives have SATA II backward compatibility, so you don't have to look for only the SATA II drives
