Latency Time on HDD SATA2 3Gbs

Post by leosirtel »

Hello,

I'm using a lot of FitPC fot standalone windows application.

After installing Windows 7 PRO 32bit, I wish to install MS .NET and other windows application.

It takes a long time and from performance monitor I see around 300/400 ms of latency on HDD....

Could you indicate me why this latency on HDD sata2?

Is there any driver/fix to resolve this issue?

Thanks a lot,

FitPC2 has an US15W chipset, that features a PATA controller, not the SATA one. Marvell 88SA8052 performs the PATA to SATA conversion

Hello Gabriel,

Thanks a lot for response.

Could you suggest me the FIT PC that have this Marvell 88SA8052 architecture?

Our application use intense HDD on W/R latency and fragmentation (Video recording dedicated).

Thanks,

Hello leosirtel

I think I got you wrong. The Marvell 88SA8052 chip performs the PATA to SATA conversion in the FitPC2. If you want a higher HDD performance, please consider a FitPC3 or Intense PC with a sata III controler.
