Graphics Driver

Post by kiwiinlondon »

I received my Low Power FITPC3 without SDD and OS and quite happily installed Win 7 and a Samsung SSD.

Everything works fine until I install the graphics driver off the FIT PC website.
It installs fine however once I reboot the windows spinning logo comes up saying windows is starting. Once this disappears I am left with a blank screen. I then have to reboot in safe mode and rollback the driver to the generic windows driver before being able to load windows again.

Do you have the correct driver or a link to where I can get it.

AMD just issued a brand-new Windows 8 "preview" driver, and I am testing it this afternoon on the basic fit-pc3. The main difference between the Compulab Windows 7 graphics driver and the preview driver is that youtube streaming videos indicate both hardware acceleration and hardware rendering. In other words, wow. So far, no observable bugs. It installed alongside of the Compulab driver and simply took over.

That, combined with the 1.26 ghz overclocking of the fit-pc3 basic, means the basic is a rather good deal in Windows 8.
