After pasting the Code, it looks like this:

_________________________________________________________________________
GNU nano 2.2.2 File: /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ isadora main upstream import
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates main restricted universe mu$
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security main restricted universe $
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ lucid partner
deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ lucid free non-free

#deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu lucid-getdeb apps
#deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu lucid-getdeb games

File Name to Write:$sts/lucid source/
^G Get Help M-D DOS Format M-A Append M-B Backup File
^C Cancel M-M Mac Format M-P Prepend
_______________________________________________________________________

^X is not an option, so I tried: M-A Append
Right after typing M (it makes no difference what is typed after the M), it reads at the lowest part:

Save file under DIFFERENT NAME ?
Y Yes
N No ^C Cancel

If I type N, it returns to the previous - which means, I still can't exit and close the terminal.

I tried to type Y, then the terminal gets closed, but when checking whether the lines were added, they are not on the list.

ok, instead of nano try gedit

> gedit etc/apt/sources.list

you should now get an editor with frontend, maybe u more comfortable with that.

With your command I got a read only list - so I wasn't able to add and save the codes.

Then I tried: sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

This way I was able to add and save the lines like this:
_________________________________________________________________________
GNU nano 2.2.2 File: /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ isadora main upstream import
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates main restricted universe mu$
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security main restricted universe $
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ lucid partner
deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ lucid free non-free

#deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu lucid-getdeb apps
#deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu lucid-getdeb games
## Repository for fit-PC2 users provided by Compulab
