If auto-on fails to boot when power is lost for more than 20 sec it is an indication of a HW problem. Unit should be sent back by RMA.

Great! So I am deciding whether to spec the fit-PC2 computer into a product with annual usage of 400-500 units and I still have not received any direction or real support from Compulab...

Dear Sam

As Irad said, if the unit has power loss longer then a 20 seconds, and it fails to auto on, you should consider to RMA it during it's HW failure.

You can contact our RMA department

Hi There,

I am in a similar situation. I bought a Fit-PC 2i a couple of months ago and now Auto-ON does not work anymore.

Today we had a power outage for about 10-15 minutes. When the power came back on the fit-PC did not start. I tested this feature when I installed it, about a month and a half ago. It worked very well then. Now it doesn't anymore.

I took the device down from the ceiling and tested it on my desk. What happens is the Hard disk LED quickly flashes once and nothing else. Pushing the power button starts the device correctly.

I tested the device with the power down for about 40 seconds and then for about 7-8 minutes. IN neither of these cases the fit-pc started automatically.

SN is 0425-120313-01043.

Auto-ON is extremely important for this application! If the device is not reliable, I am very concerned. Can you please let me know how this can be fixed. I hate to think that I might need to send it back to the other side of the globe, as it will be a significant setback for me.

Please let me know what can be done to solve this issue very quickly.

Thank you

Can you please test it with nothing attached to to the FitPC2 but power and monitor cable?

I have the same problem as Sorin with one of our unit (SN 00425-120313-01008... same batch as Sorin).
The hard drive led flash once when I power the unit but it doesn't boot by itself.

Unfortunately, I think that this is an RMA case... Please consider to initiate the RMA process.
