Getting fitlet CPU temperature in Linux

The procedure below is validated on kernel 3.16 and later.

install sensors utility (if not installed)

$ sudo apt-get install lm-sensors

load kernel module (if was not autoloaded)

$ sudo modprobe k10temp

get data from thermal sensors

$ sensors

You should receive something like:

Adapter: PCI adapter
power1:           N/A  (crit =   4.54 W)

Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1:        +60.2°C  (high = +70.0°C)
                       (crit = +105.0°C, hyst = +104.0°C)
