BIOS update procedure
The following procedure true under Windows 7 and Linux in non-UEFI mode operating systems:
- Connect at least one display via HDMI port
- Prepare FAT formatted USB Disk-on-key
- Download the latest IPC2 BIOS ROM files
- Unzip and copy 3 files to the root directory:
- IPC2.cap
- startup.nsh
- ShellFlash64.efi
- Insert the USB flash drive and ensure no other boot-able USB devices connected
- Power on IPC2, enter BIOS by pressing F2. Go to "Boot Features" and set "Legacy Boot" to "Disable"
- Check on the "Boot" tab that inserted USB listed as first boot device, otherwise change the boot order accordingly
- Go to "Exit" and press "Exit Saving Changes"
- IPC2 will restart and BIOS update will take place
- Wait for "BIOS is updated successfully. Press any key to continue ..." message
- Remove USB disk and press ENTER
- System may do several power cycles and then boot normally
- Configure the settings of the new BIOS according to your needs
Important notes:
- In case of errors, it may be needed to remove all storage devices and perform the programming process with USB flash drive only.
- Under Windows 8 and Linux in UEFI mode operating systems other procedure should be followed.
