Security update for Compulab IPC3 and fitlet2 – INTEL-SA-00086

Yokneam, Israel 23-Nov-2017 – Intel published a security advisory INTEL-SA-00086 that applies to multiple Intel based products including Compulab IPC3 and fitlet2.
Other Compulab products are not affected by this security issue.Compulab incorporated Intel’s recommended update into the BIOS of the affected products.
Owners of these products are advised to update BIOS to the corresponding version.

IPC3

IPC3 scope

All IPC3 products shipped before 23-Nov-2017 are subject to the vulnerability. IPC3 owners are advised to apply the patch published by Compulab.
IPC3 products shipped after 23-Nov-2017 are not vulnerable to INTEL-SA-00086.

How to address for IPC3

Check if the vulnerability applies using Intel-SA-00086 detection tool
Apply IPC3 INTEL-SA-00086 fix as needed.

fitlet2 scope

fitlet2 units shipped before 23-Nov-2017 are subject to the vulnerability. fitlet2 owners are advised to update BIOS as detailed below.
fitlet2 units shipped after 23-Nov-2017 are not vulnerable to INTEL-SA-00086.

Update fitlet2 BIOS as needed
